Meet Daniel J. Spitz

Daniel Spitz is a graduate of Southwestern Law School in Los Angeles and is licensed to practice law in the State of California. Daniel also received his HBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business at Western University in Canada. In addition, he is a licensed notary public and a graduate of The Second City’s Conservatory Improvisation Program. 

Through his legal work, he has represented small businesses and individuals as lead counsel on a number of civil litigation and transactional corporate commercial matters, assisted clients from start to finish with their estate planning needs, and negotiated deals on behalf of actors, writers, producers, directors and musicians.  

In law school, Daniel received the prestigious “CALI” award for finishing at the top of his class in two separate courses: Advanced Entertainment Law Seminar and Defamation, Privacy and Publicity.

In addition to his legal practice, Daniel currently teaches in the Business Administration department at Santa Barbara City College as well as in the College of Business and Economics (CBE) and the College of Arts and Letters at California State University, Los Angeles.  Through his academic work, Daniel has become a published author in the Journal of International Media and Entertainment Law and the Journal of Legal Aspects of Sport.  

Daniel is an avid fan of baseball, hockey, dim sum, and all things Saturday Night Live.
